The morning started at Hotel Winters, just off the town square, where the light came in low through the windows while the families took turns fussing over buttons and flowers. By afternoon the wedding party had filled a small-town parish elbow to elbow, the pews wrapped in coral silk, three flower girls more solemn than anyone twice their age. The day closed the way good days in the Valley do — under a long golden light at Park Winters, surrounded by a wall of classic Mustangs someone clearly loves more than is reasonable, and a reception that did not sit still for a single song.

The morning began at Hotel Winters, just off the town square.

Then the Mass — the heart of the day.

Then golden hour at Park Winters, under a row of Mustangs.

A quiet hour at the Victorian house, away from everyone.

Then the doors opened, and the celebration began.

And the light over the Valley, one last time.
