The Syro-Malabar Church, one of the Eastern Catholic Churches in full communion with Rome, traces its roots to the apostolic mission of St. Thomas in India. A Syro-Malabar wedding carries customs distinct from both the Roman Rite and the Byzantine tradition — including elements specific to Indian Catholic culture that a general "Catholic wedding photographer" may never have encountered.

Every Syro-Malabar family and parish carries its own emphasis and regional custom. Rather than approaching the day with assumptions, I sit down with couples ahead of time to understand their specific traditions — what matters most to their family, what their parish's practice looks like, and where the meaningful moments will actually happen.
