St. Charles Borromeo is carved walnut and gold beneath a painted dome. Joe and Victoria were married before its high altar, then brought their devotions to Our Lady and St. Joseph before leaving the church.
They left in a white classic Chrysler, crystal glasses in hand, and drove north to Mission San Fernando Rey de España for portraits by the fountain, with a lowrider Impala along for the day. The night ended with a first dance at The Odyssey in Granada Hills.
This is a sneak peek. The full gallery and the wedding film are coming soon.
Joe waited at the front of the church. Victoria came down the aisle with her family and was given to him at the altar. Then the readings, the vows and the Eucharist beneath the great carved crucifix.

Before leaving the sanctuary, they went to each side altar: a prayer before Our Lady, and a candle lit for St. Joseph, the patron of husbands and of the family.

A white classic Chrysler waited at the curb. A toast and a kiss in the back seat, with a crucifix in Joe's hand.

The old mission gardens in the late afternoon, a fountain catching the sun, and a candy-blue lowrider Impala.

Then up the hill to The Odyssey, beneath draped fabric and string lights, for their first dance as husband and wife.

The church, the rite, the date, the families. I respond personally within two business days.
